In 1950, the Dhanvantari sankirna was built which is now Sri Raghavendra Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital located at Malladihalli established in 2006-07. Recognized by Government of Karnataka, Central Council of Indian Medicine, Department of AYUSH, New Delhi & Affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore- Karnataka.
The college is running 60 bedded well –equipped hospital and also a well-equipped laboratory, operation Theatre, X-Ray Unit, ECG unit, Scanning, Intensive care unit, etc.
Sri. Raghavendra Swamiji established Dhanvantari Ayurveda Pharmacy on the college campus in 1950. The pharmacy with all necessary types of equipment is built on the deep tradition of Ayurveda. More than 200 formulas are manufactured in the institute pharmacy.
BAMS Admissions in the RAMC
Eligibility
- Students seeking admission to the first professional B A M S course must have passed the 10+2 examination of the state board or any other examination considered equivalent thereto by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, (RGUHS)Bangalore, with English as one of the optional subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in the Physics Chemistry Biology Groups.
- However in the case of students belonging to SC/ST & category, first the minimum requirement in the percentage of marks for admission to the first B A M S course is relaxed by 10% of marks.
No candidates shall be admitted unless he/she has completed 17 years of age on the 31st December year of admission.

- Admission will be started as per schedule by R G U H S Bangalore.
- All the admission made by the college for the first year of the BAMS course is provisional and subject to approval by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The institute is not responsible for any loss due to non – confirmation of admission by the University.
- The application should be accompanied by true copies of all the concerned marks cards and other certificates, incomplete applications are liable to be rejected.
